8 What does [the right covenant relationship (with God) that comes by commitment to faithful relationship] say? (It says):

“The spoken message (from God) is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” (Deuteronomy 30:14)

And so this is the very spoken message about commitment to faithful relationship6 which we proclaim (to you): 9 That if you (take a vow of faithfulness to the anointed King by) confess(ing) the spoken message (from God) that “Jesus is Lord,” and actively trust in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you shall be delivered. 10 For it is with your heart that you actively trust (in God) which brings about right covenant relationship (with Him), and it is with your mouth (that) you confess (your vow to faithfulness to Jesus as your Lord) and are delivered.

11 For (just as) the Scripture says:

“Everyone actively trusting on [God] shall not be put to shame.”(Isaiah 28:16 LXX)

12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for the same (God is) Lord of all (and) is bountiful toward all those who actively call on Him (and trust him as their Lord),

13 For:

“Everyone who is actively calling (and therefore actively trusting) on the name of the (one true) Lord shall be delivered.”(Joel 2:32 LXX)
